Palmetto Engineering & Consulting (PEC) is pleased to announce that effective July 1, 2017, we acquired the assets of Midland Group, Inc. (MGI) consulting firm. The striking similarities of geographic, technical, and cultural fit promise to fuel very positive synergies. Moreover, the tremendous benefits of consolidating skill sets, intellectual properties, and client relationships made the acquisition a mutually agreeable and easy decision.
Our new Midland Group team will be kept intact and operate as the MGI Division of PEC. It is our intent to continue operations as normal while providing support and capital resources to reinforce and expand MGI’s operations where opportunity presents. Existing leadership will remain in place and be supported to the fullest extent possible by the entire family of PEC companies.
With over 200 employees, professional licenses in 30 states, and offices in Arkansas and South Carolina, PEC possesses the size and scale to bring the expertise needed for any type of telecom project. PEC also practices across the broader discipline of electrical engineering in utility electric power, manufacturing/industrial power, oil and gas production support, telecom residential and commercial premise installations, and GIS-based data mining and analytics.
In addition, PEC owns, actively develops, and continuously improves the capabilities of the CrescentLink line of ArcGIS extensions, a suite of software products with the power to plan, manage, and track all types of communications media (fiber, copper, coaxial, and wireless) while maintaining continuity through central office equipment.
